I am a graduate student working towards my doctorate in Environmental Sciences. I investigate how fire interacts with various components of the Earth System. My research spans multiple disciplines, considering aspects of hydrology, ecology and atmospheric sciences. I use a suite of quantitative tools to support my work, including statistical modeling, geospatial and remote sensing data analysis, and process based models. I am a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow and a SESYNC Graduate Research Fellow.
I have been a resident of Charlottesville, VA since 2008. In my free time I enjoy drawing, soccer, and putting microcontrollers in electric guitars. I am also a tech enthusiast; I enjoy learning about emerging trends in hardware, programming languages, and machine learning.
